PREPARATION: Makes 4 to 6 serving - 30 minutes

EQUIPMENT: 1.7-quart (Small Sauté Skillet) with Ultra-Temp Lid, 5-quart stainless steel mixing bowl, 1.5-quart stainless steel mixing bowl.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 2 whole eggs beaten.
  • ½ medium onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ cup Italian or Panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 can diced roasted garlic tomatoes 14.5 ounces.
  • 2 tablespoon catsup
  • 1 cup sharp cheese grated

DIRECTIONS:

To the 5-quart mixing bowl, add the ground beef and pork, eggs, onions, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, and milk. Combine the meatloaf by hand to incorporate all ingredients and press into a cold dry pan.

In the 1.5-quart mixing bowl, mix the tomatoes and catsup and pour the mixture over the meatloaf evenly before baking. Cover the pan, open the vent, and place the pan over medium heat at 275ᵒF. When steam begins to escape from the vent and the whistle sounds close the vent and turn the heat to low 225ᵒF.

After about 25 minutes of cooking, simply remove the lid and top the meatloaf with grated cheese. Cover it again and let it cook for an additional 5 minutes. This step will elevate the flavors and add a cheesy twist to your classic meatloaf dish.

Slice the meatloaf with a spatula and serve it hot from the pan alongside delicious, mashed potatoes and broccoli cooked the waterless way.
