SHRIMP, CRAB & PESTO PIZZA recipe

    Recipe: Florida Shrimp & Blue Crab Pizza

    Equipment: Health Craft 10" Stainless Pizza Pan & Food Cutter

    Ingredients

    • ½ pound medium Florida shrimp, peeled and cooked
    • 12-inch pizza crust
    • ½ cup prepared pesto sauce
    • 1 cup Florida blue crab meat
    • Green and yellow peppers, thinly sliced
    • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded (#2 cutting cone)
    • 2 tablespoons pure olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon paprika

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
    2. Cut shrimp into bite-size pieces and set aside.
    3. Place pizza crust on your stainless steel pizza pan and spread pesto evenly, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
    4. Top with shrimp and crab, then add a thin layer of cheese.
    5. Drizzle olive oil over the cheese, add peppers, and sprinkle with paprika.
    6. Bake mid-oven for 25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling.
    7. Remove, cool for 5 minutes, slice, and serve.

    Having lived on the coast of Maryland while in the Navy, I came to appreciate the rich seafood traditions of the Chesapeake Bay. Yet, even after decades in Florida, I am still amazed by the abundance and quality of Florida’s seafood—especially the Blue Crab. Sweeter than Maryland crab, it has earned a permanent place in my kitchen.
