Ingredients – Makes 6 to 8 Servings

  • 2–3 strips of crispy bacon, chopped

  • ½ cup Swiss cheese, grated

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 8 oz canned tuna, drained

  • 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning

  • 1 tsp Lemon Pepper (or fresh lemon juice and pepper)

  • ¼ tsp garlic salt (or minced fresh garlic + pinch of salt)

  • 2 slices toasted rye bread

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • ½ tsp paprika or ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

Equipment: 1-quart saucepan, food cutter, two 8-oz ramekins, 12x10 stainless steel baking sheet

Directions

  1. Cook bacon until crispy, chop, and set aside.

  2. In a 1-quart saucepan, combine Swiss cheese, cream cheese, and mayonnaise. Warm over low heat (175–200°F) until cheese melts into a creamy base.

  3. Stir in tuna, Old Bay, lemon pepper, and garlic salt until fully combined.

  4. Preheat your oven to broil. Spoon the mixture into ramekins placed on a baking sheet. Broil for 4–5 minutes until the tops are bubbly and golden.

  5. While broiling, prepare buttered toast points from rye bread.

  6. To serve: Sprinkle baked dip with paprika or cayenne, top with bacon and chives, and enjoy with toast points, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
