Exodus, Judgment and The Misery of the Godless Age
THE MODERN EXODUS OF THE FAITHFUL
During the past decade nearly a million have left New York, over a million from California, and hundreds of thousands from Illinois and New Jersey.
Research shows many of these movers are fiscally and culturally conservative, often families of faith seeking affordability and moral stability.
Their destination states—Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Idaho—still reflect vestiges of biblical values.
This migration is more than economic; it is spiritual separation, echoing Paul’s charge:
“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 6:17
📍 What the Shift Means
- Blue states lose moral ballast; their politics grow extreme.
- Red states absorb energy, enterprise, and faith.
- America divides not only by economics, but by worldview—light and darkness parting ways.
REVIVAL & REVOLUTION SERIES
✝️ Exodus, Judgment & The Misery of the Godless Age
By Charles R. Knight
“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
— Proverbs 29:2 (NKJV)
🕯️ INTRODUCTION – A NATION AT THE CROSSROADS
Every civilization (state or country) that turns its back on God walks the same downward path.
When righteousness governs, state and nations prosper; when wickedness rules, people suffer.
Today America faces that ancient pattern once again—material wealth masking spiritual poverty.
“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.”
— Psalm 9:17
⚖️ THE LAW OF NATIONS
God’s blessing rests on moral order.
When a people reject His Word, He withdraws His hedge of protection.
Confusion replaces clarity, corruption replaces justice, and division replaces unity.

💔 THE MISERY OF THE GODLESS AGE
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.” — Isaiah 5:20
When the ungodly rule, they cannot bring peace—only oppression.
They invert morality, persecute truth, and demand moral surrender.
Symptoms of Ungodly Rule
- Truth is censored. Evil is celebrated. Families are redefined.
- Justice is weaponized against the righteous.
- Fear and division replace faith and freedom.
“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work.” — 2 Thessalonians 2:7
🔥 THE SPIRITUAL CONSEQUENCES
For the Faithful Remnant
- Tested faith becomes refined faith. Comfort vanishes; conviction deepens.
- Community strengthens. Persecution draws believers together.
- Witness brightens. Darkness becomes the backdrop for revival.
“The people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.” — Daniel 11:32
For the Ungodly
- Delusion deepens. They call lies truth and truth lies.
- Peace disappears. Fear and violence consume society.
- Collapse follows. Economies fail, leadership corrupts, and hope dies.
“They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.” — Hosea 8:7

🏛️ THE FUTURE OF THE STATES AND THE NATION
-
Blue States – The Warning
As godly voices depart, policy and culture degenerate. Debt, crime, and despair multiply. -
Red States – The Test
Prosperity will try them. If they forget why they were blessed, they too will fall. -
The United States – The Crossroad
The divide cannot last forever. Either repentance unites us, or rebellion consumes us.
“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” — Mark 3:25
🌾 LIFE UNDER UNGODLY RULE – A TALE OF TWO PATHS
|
The Faithful |
The Ungodly |
|
Suffer outwardly but grow inwardly |
Prosper outwardly but rot inwardly |
|
Walk by faith, not sight |
Trust in power and pleasure |
|
Form communities of light |
Collapse into confusion |
|
Await a crown of life |
Await a day of judgment |
“For our light affliction … works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” — 2 Corinthians 4:17
⏳ THE END OF THE GODLESS AGE
“The triumphing of the wicked is short.” — Job 20:5
Every empire of arrogance meets its Red Sea:
Pharaoh, Babylon, Rome — all rose high and fell hard.
The Lord allows wickedness to run its course only until the moment of justice is ripe.
🌅 THE HOPE OF REVIVAL
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14
Revival always begins with a remnant.
The migration of believers from blue to red states may yet form the seed of national renewal — if they carry their faith and humility with them.
✝️ FINAL WORD
When the ungodly rule, misery is universal — but for the righteous, it becomes the fire of refinement.
The secular world may appear victorious, yet its triumph is brief.
God’s people endure; His Word cannot be silenced.
“For the kingdom is the LORD’s, and He rules over the nations.” — Psalm 22:28
Hold the line. Stand firm. The battle belongs to the Lord — and the victory is His.
